I am a mixed-media artist working primarily in three-dimensional wall art. My practice explores form, colour, and materiality through sculptural works inspired by the shapes and rhythms of leaves. Using batik fabrics and stitched elements, I construct pieces where the process and materials are intentionally not immediately obvious. I enjoy the quiet tension that emerges when viewers are drawn in by colour and form, then challenged to understand how the work is made.

Stitch plays an important role in my work, both structurally and conceptually, bringing together fabric, form, and surface in unexpected ways. I am drawn to bold colour and unusual construction, creating artworks that are unapologetically strong and designed to truly own the wall they inhabit.

My work is art for art’s sake — driven by curiosity, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of pushing an idea until it feels resolved. I relish both the challenge of producing each piece and the challenge it offers the viewer: to slow down, look closely, and engage with something that resists easy explanation.

Living in Wānaka, within New Zealand’s thriving and supportive art community, continually feeds my practice. It is a place where creativity is valued, and where making bold, beautiful, and unconventional work feels both possible and necessary.
